Maonah Association Strongly condemned and denounced the racism statements of the Islah party leader Mohammad Hazmi against human rights activist Amal Basha and demands an immediate apology from the Islah Party is demanding to her....... The Maonah Association for Human Rights and Migration condemned and denounced in a press release what it called: Statements of the Islah Party leader, Sheikh Mohammed Hazmi against human rights activist Amal Basha head of the Arab Sisters Forum for Human Rights after her appointment by His Excellency the President of the Republic Field Marshal Abd Rabo Mansour Hadi, as a member of the national dialogue, The Association considers the issuance of such racist statements in the name of religion as unacceptable and reprehensible and a crime of racism and the Association declares its condemnation and its full and complete solidarity with Ms. Amal Basha, as it demanded all local and international human rights organizations and activists, particularly traders who were granted peace prizes to determine their clear position through the condemnation and denunciation of this heinous crime and disown those who uttered it and those who stand behind them and to hold them accountable and to stand with wonderful activist Amal Basha, by denouncing all the forms and images of wrong political recruitment of religion by the leaders in the Islah Party and other religious groups that use religion as a way which will lead Yemen to an armed sectarian conflict, and the Islam Party bears the responsibility and the consequences for the issuance of these statements spoken by one of its leaders "Al-Hazmi," as an official spokesman for what is called "the scholars of Yemen, a religious organization that is officially unrecognized in Yemen until now and it is headed by Sheikh Zindani" At the site of Marib press's that officially belongs to the Islah party.

The Maonah statement issued this evening: warned from the outbreak and expansion of sectarian war in Yemen that is raging for more than a year and a half in Yemen between groups and parties of political Islam Yemeni conflicting sectarian because of the wrong political recruitment of religion by all parties, and its manifestations are clear in the continuing violent conflict sessions in the province of Saada, north of the capital Sana'a and provinces neighboring the Al-Jouf, and Hajja by the currents of political Islam, the Islah party (Muslim Brotherhood) and the Houthi group (Shiites), and the daily confrontations that take the lives of dozens of Yemenis who fall dead and wounded and non-stop In the Local and international silence without justification, in the absence of any accurate information and documentation on the numbers of dead and wounded among the parties and the extent of the damage and losses.

(Maonah) confirmed in its statement issued on Monday, 16 - July -2012: The most dangerous things that take place in Yemen today is the silence of the international community on the aspects and cases of direct violence in the name of religion, pointing out that what is happening for months in the governorates of Saada, Al-Jouf, an Hajja , is an armed conflict covered by religion, each of them trying to expand by violence and their extension of influence over those provinces by taking advantage of the crisis conditions that beset the country since early last year, which no doubt has weakened the state, especially in remote areas from the center.

On the other hand (Maonah) called forthe Islah party and the scientists, led by Sheikh Hazmi and al-Zindani to apologize publicly for the Yemeni professor and human rights activist Amal Basha and all the women of Yemen for all the abuses and crimes that included his racist remarks against her in the name of religion, in injustice and aggression and the withdrawal and deployment of their apologies in all the media for a period of three days in accordance with law, and demanded public apology for previous statements by the Islah leader Hamid al-Ahmar in for the New York Times, which threw the symptoms of women and youth of Yemen in the arena of sit-ins, in vanities, and described it as "disco and squares of lovers" all in the name of Islam too .. and did not apologize for that crime until today.

In closing, the Association invited leaders and scholars of the Islah Party to desist from maliciousness methods and the wrong political exploitation of religion in such difficult circumstances experienced by the country, in which the Islah Party became a ruling partner and even heads of the government now. Maonah Association also called Parties in sectarian conflict to stop armed fighting immediately and allow neutral civil society organizations, human rights organizations to visit areas of conflict and make sure what is really happening on the ground, it also called the president to form a judicial inquiry commission for impartial investigation into the violations that occurred because of the political exploitation of religion and to hold the perpetrators and instigators, whether they are parties or individuals and ensure that they don’t escape from punishment.
