Coalition of Yemeni civil society institutions "partners"

The coalition of Yemeni civil society organizations "partners", which includes in its membership 30 Yemeni NGOs in various fields, denounced at a meeting today, the brutal campaign of threats and intellectual terrorism, and media defamation suffered by a number of leaders of Yemeni human rights organizations who participated in the 21 session in Human Rights Council of the United Nations in Geneva last September and so by the Minister of Human Rights of Yemen Huriah Mashoor because of their human rights activities featured in exposing human rights violations that have occurred in Yemen and that was overlooked and ignored by the minister in her official report to the United Nations, the coalition also condemned at its meeting the terror campaign and distortion carried out by Yemeni human rights organizations and governmental informational sites like the Yemeni observer for Human Rights, which follows the legal Affairs Minister Mohammed Mikhlafi as well as Islah Party sites and the Yemeni Socialist Party, partners in the government of Yemen and their organizations against the participation of colleagues in this session, and the coalition "partners" considered such fierce Media campaigns represent systematic government terrorism against activists and human rights organizations and incitement to silence their voices and the governmental confiscation for the freedoms of rights activists and defenders of human rights in Yemen, and therefore is a violation of a government to Yemen's international obligations in the field of promotion of human rights with evidence that those who have committed these violations are the Minister of Human rights which is supposed to protect and promote human rights organizations and not its terrorism and endangering the lives of its members and activists of the risk and the possibility of being physically liquidated because of its campaign against the fact that the Yemeni society is still a tribal society and there is a political and major security crisis in the country and thus the minister and the Yemeni government bears the responsibility for any crime that may occur for human rights organizations because of its threat to the future ...

The statement concluded by saying: that the coalition "partners" and about what happened declares its full solidarity with the Yemenis activists and human rights defenders and organizations who have been exposed to threat crime, the coalition "partners" also appeals to all human rights organizations, local and international in the forefront the High Commissioner of the United Nations to take his knowledge of these heinous crimes and to condemn and denounce this Yemeni government campaign led by the Minister of Human Rights and their affiliated organizations against the lives of those activists and human rights defenders, especially given that this campaign and accompanying threats but occurred during and because of the participation of these activists in the 21 session in the Human Rights Council in Geneva,,, and also address the Yemeni President Abd Rabo Mansour Hadi and poems down his government for their obligations to protect human rights and to request him to investigate what happened of unacceptable threats by human rights minister against Yemeni activists , and to take real action to protect the lives of rights activists and defenders of human rights in Yemen.

It is worth mentioning that a delegation jurist of Yemeni NGOs had left Sanaa on Sunday morning 7/23/2011 heading to Geneva, Switzerland to attend the meeting of the United Nations and the Human Rights Council of Yemen's September 26, 2012 m and provide feedback to their organizations on the report of the delegation Rights Commission Rights who recently visited Yemen, as well as assess the credibility of the report and notes the Yemeni government on the human rights situation that is provided by the Minister of Human Rights .

According to the sources, the activists of these organizations posed in front of the Human Rights Council and the international community at this meeting facts and are very important documents for most human rights violations and terrorist crimes and those who stand behind unlike Helms in the report and Human Rights Minister of Yemen, also provided activists accurate statistics and evidence of exclusion crimes and reprisals and threats received from some political parties government following the formation of the Government of National Reconciliation, and the organizations revealed in this meeting documents and evidence that includes serious threats received by the Minister of Human Rights because of their human rights activities purely as those organizations showed the council the worst gross violations and terrorist crimes that occur daily and are exercised by political parties and armed groups, non-stop and not accountable under ignored and Scott and the Ministry of Human Rights reported, which angered Madame Secretary and her team of government and media until she lost her temper and then sent threats to Jurists activists without legal justification.
