Maonah Association condemns the molesters crime on "Al-ula" and "Al-share'e" newspapers and condemns government narrowing on the freedom of activists and human rights defenders in Yemen.
Maonah Association for Human Rights and Migration -
Maonah Association condemned the terrorist attack on the headquarters of the "Al-ula" and "Al-share'e" newspapers in the capital Sana'a yesterday evening.

The association said in a press release "The opening of fire machine guns at the two newspapers building yesterday is a criminal act and dangerous escalation aimed at freedom of the press and of opinion and expression, and is aimed at restricting the activists and human rights defenders and silencing active media voices and professionals in the country."

And the Association demanded all international and local organizations to condemn this heinous crime and declare solidarity with the newspapers and those who are working with them, and ask the concerned authorities in the Yemeni government to play their role in the detection and prosecution of perpetrators and bring them to justice, and put an end to such irresponsible terrorist acts and which became a systematic policy practiced by political government parties in Yemen recently towards the opinion makers, human rights activists and the glare of the world at large.
The gunmen opened fire at the headquarters of the newspapers late in the evening on Friday in òsawan Street east of the capital Sana'a, before escaping.

The operation comes after minutes of threats received by newspapers from the news position of "supporters of the revolution," of General Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar commander of the Armored First Division.
The publisher of "Al-oula" Naif Hassan,said that he Major General Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar bears all the responsibility for any attack that may might damage the newspaper or its editor colleague Mohammad Ayesh or its employees.
