 - Praised and thanked the efforts of the Governor of Hodeidah, Mr. Akram Attia and the local council, in releasing part of the fishermen detained in Eritrea .... “Maonah” condemns the terrorist crime that targeted Dr. Ahmed Sharaf Al-Din yesterday .. And calls upon the international community to create a special international justice court for terrorist crimes that have occurred in Yemen during the past two years Special -
"Maonah” Association for Human Rights condemned - in the strongest terms- the heinous terrorist crime that happened yesterday in Sanaa; that was the assassination of Prof. Dr. Ahmad Sharaf al-Din member of the national dialogue conference by unidentified gunmen, arguing that "terrorist crime is a systematic targeting of the political process and is an assault to security and social& domestic peace.

On the other hand, the Association renewed -in a press release issued today- its appeal to the international community and the United Nations to save Yemen from terrorism that threatens the peace and security of international, regional and local levels through rapid formation of international justice for crimes of terrorism that occurred in Yemen during the past two years including the assassination of Dr. Sharaf Al-Din yesterday, in order to detect and expose the real terrorists (states and terrorist organizations) and their international& local partners and bring them all to justice. This has become more urgent especially after  the division within the Yemen judiciary departments; between the public prosecutor and the judiciary in the State Security Court specialized in anti-terrorism cases in Yemen. This indifference occurs during consideration of  a terrorist crime that has previously been condemned by  the international community,  provided for the need to prosecute the perpetrators and bring them to justice in the UN Security Council Resolution 2014; that is the  crime of the terrorist attack on the mosque of the Yemen Presidency House. Therefore, “Maonah”  Association appeals to the international community and the UN to move quickly to save Yemen from terrorism by issuing an international resolution binding to form a commission of inquiry and a special international tribunal to Yemen to investigate and adjudicate all crimes of terrorism that took place in Yemen from the beginning of 2011, and was condemned by in UN resolutions, and all terrorist crimes including yesterday crime which targeted a famous  international jurist and constitutional Yemeni administrative law professor  Dr. Ahmed Sharaf Al-Din.

In another direction .. the Association valued - in a press statement-  all efforts and actions undertaken by both local& central authorities,  and Yemeni& International  organizations  for the release of more than 500 Yemeni Fishermen, who were kidnapped and detained forcibly in the prisons of the Eritrean authorities for more than a year. As reported by reliable sources of the Association, the Eritrean authorities have directed to release About 130 of the abductees fishermen and bring them back to Yemen in the coming days, after Eritrean leaders felt  ashamed of itself from its piracy against neighboring Yemeni citizens and after seeing the neglecting of our government on  follow-up &release of its citizens and forget about it for more than 500 citizen detained except for some of the extraordinary efforts of some respectful Yemeni officials who continued to follow this human tragedy on an ongoing basis,  and they are the only officials to whom the Association direct its thanks and appreciation, led all Governor of Hodeidah local council head Professor Akram Attia and the leadership of the local authority and local council members ,the human rights activists, events and civic organizations, and The Peaceful Tehami Movement,  and fish preservation Union, The Path of Development &Human rights Organization in Hodeidah and all human rights organizations, local and international, which interacted with the Association’s repeated appeals on the adoption of this disaster. Finally, the Association wishes of everyone to continue cooperation and partnership until complete release of the rest of the remaining detainees in Eritrea and ensuring compensation and non-recurrence of piracy Eritrean towards Yemeni Fishermen again.

God blessing &Help is most required.
