Appealed to the international community and the Security Council for the inclusion of armed groups in Amran in the lists of terrorist….Maonah Association strongly condemns the violent crimes and genocide that occurred in the province of Amran, and hold responsibility for the Houthis and the Islah groups (Muslim Brotherhood) and rival armed groups

The Association Condemns strongly violent crimes and genocide that took place in Amran city and surrounding areas in recent weeks and led to the death and injury of thousands of dead and wounded civilians, and the displacement of tens of thousands of people of the province, whereas the fight in Amran is perfectly considered ideological and religious fight that started months ago between Houthis militants and Islah militants (the Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen) and other armed groups and some units of the Yemeni army.

The Association condemns the fall of thousands of dead and wounded and casualties among civilians and combatants, and considers the continuation of fighting to constitute a genocide that bear its responsibility all warring factions. It urges all parties and fighting groups to abide by the cease-fire, especially the agreement on June 22, and to allow access for humanitarian relief organizations immediately without any obstruction to the affected areas. It also emphasize on the importance of respect -to be shown by all parties and the combatants in Amran -to the state authorities and their orders.
As the Association considers that the sectarian incitement -practiced by all parties with the aim of continuing and expanding the violence and fighting in Amran- to be terrorist acts that undermine the process of political transition in Yemen and threaten peace and security at local, regional and international levels. It appeals to the international community and the UN Security Council the inclusion of armed fighting groups in the lists of global terrorist organizations and the inclusion of the names of its leaders as terrorists that should be prosecuted and brought to the International Criminal Court so to be tried for the crimes of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by all groups involved in the ongoing sectarian violence in Amran.
It also calls for the leadership of the Yemeni state-with the international support – to pay attention to the need to force commitment by all parties to hand over weapons and ammunition to the state, and in line with the output of the national dialogue and to enroll in full participation in the political process. Also, it calls the state leadership to implement the prohibition of any groups that use religion to gain power, and compel the parties to renounce violence and incitement, and ban the use of all the parties to the instructions of religious, sectarian and houses of worship as tools for conflict ...
