Association strongly condemned and denounced the murder of Yemeni expatriate Ali Omar Ghaithi on Sunday in the city of Oakland , California in his shop , over there.
A statement by the Association , "This heinous crime comes today in continuation of the phenomenon of targeting and killing of Yemeni expatriates in the United States during the recent period , which increased remarkably this year. Information monitored by the Association mentions that the victim’s brother (Abdulaghani Omar Alghaithi) was killed 15 years ago in the same shop in the area of predominantly racist black and well-known severe racist towards Yemeni as according to information received from there ... and as monitored by the Association this crime comes after more than a dozen killings and injuries and robbery against the Yemeni expatriates across the United States in 2014 and during the visit of President of the Association to the United States. According to all the investigations that have been in most of those crimes, they were owed to racially motives and they have become semi- serious phenomenon of targeting the sons of our Yemeni community in the United States precisely under neglect and overlook and the inability of government Yemeni to play their part in protecting the rights of its citizens abroad and follow-up results of the investigation into these crimes and the right of its citizens , whether abroad or even those that are inside Yemen....

A press release of the Association of the evening said : the Association as pray for mercy on the spirit of the martyr Ghaithi all the souls of the martyrs of Yemenis who have fallen victims of these heinous crimes , they are at the same time , appeals to the US President Obama to intervene to stop the phenomenon of targeting the lives of expatriates Yemenis in America and to order the competent US authorities to quickly arrest those who committed this heinous crime and predecessors ones and bring them to trial in order to be punished for what sinful hands have committed toward these Yemeni expatriates victim , and asked him to conduct a transparent investigation into this case to see circumstances , causes and motives and cooperation with the Yemeni communities in America bodies and bring them into the investigation , and inform public opinion about what might result from the investigation.

The Association concluded by appealing to the Minister of Expatriates and the Embassy of Yemen in America to act with responsibility to protect the lives of Yemenis abroad quickly and move on this issue and its predecessors in partnership with the Yemeni communities bodies there and with the participation of local civil society organizations interested and to preserve the rights and the blood of Yemeni victims abroad and inform the local public opinion results aphid ...... and start a count of the number of Yemeni expatriates in America and all citizen alienation as a basis for communication and development rights in the countries of immigration and without delay .
