private - Press Release: Maonah Association condemns the murder of 22 soldiers and officers in a terrorist attack on the point of Jafar in Zanzibar and demanding the United Nations to form a special international criminal tribunal for terrorism crimes in Yemen.
Maonah Association condemned and denounced in a press release heinous crime terrorist committed by the terrorist forces that belong to al-Qaeda to the point of Fort Jafar and Al-MShhoor break place in the city of Zanzibar, killing twenty-two members and officers and wounding twelve, depending on what had been reported by Yemeni media today.
The Association said in a statement this evening, Monday, 7 / May / 2012 that such criminal acts which claim innocent lives are crimes of mass murder and genocide of the human race prohibited by all international charters and conventions
The Association calls through its statement that in all previous statements to the need to unite all the organizations, international bodies and civil society organizations , local and international, led by the High Commissioner for Human Rights to condemn this heinous terrorist crime and all the crimes committed by al-Qaeda earlier in Yemen and the need to form a special international tribunal to terrorism in Yemen as the best international and local solution to stand in front of those barbaric acts committed by al Qaeda against the sons of the Yemeni people and kills innocent civilians and military, showing the need to link a fair trial for all those found involved in terrorist crimes.
In conclusion, the Association statement said: appeals to His Excellency the President Abd Rabo Mansour Hadi to submit a request to the United Nations to form a special international criminal tribunal for crimes of terrorism in Yemen, and the speed of the arrest the perpetrators of these heinous crimes, and the Association calls to speed the establishment of the Special Criminal Court in Yemen as such a court would contribute to the trial of those to be involved in terrorist operations in accordance with all applicable laws and to ensure the security and unity of Yemen and the implementation of the resolutions of international legitimacy in this regard.
