private - Urgent Press Release: "Maonah" Association welcomes the statements of Mr. Yasin Said Numan Secretary-General of the Yemeni Socialist Party on the Law of Guarantees, and regards it as a positive sign to meet the legal obligations set forth in the Gulf initiative and its operational mechanism.
The " Maonah " Association said in a press release issued Friday evening: in its framework of monitoring the positions of the political forces of Yemen and the extent of its commitment to implement the Gulf initiative and its operational mechanism and UN Security Council resolution,it welcomes and appreciates the high evaluation as in the words of Professor Yasin Said Numan Secretary-General of the Yemeni Socialist Party, in an exclusive interview with him on Al-Arabia t.v channel "Arab", and in which he emphasized his commitment to whats agreed upon in the Gulf initiative and its mechanism and the issuance and approval of the law of guarantees granted to President Ali Abdullah Saleh, under the initiative and the decision of the UN Security Council in implementation of what has been agreed upon previously.
The Association considers that this statement of Professor Yassin Noman is a positive attitude and will help facilitate the peaceful process of power transition in Yemen, as defined by the initiative and operational mechanism, it also confirms the commitment of the Yemeni Socialist Party with all provisions of the initiative including the guarantees law passed from the House of Representatives, It also exposes the Disclaimer and the procrastination of the Joint Meeting Party of its responsibilities in the implementation of the initiative.
The Association concluded its statement saying it hopes from all political forces signed the Gulf initiative, to translate their commitments of words into actions by requiring ministers and deputies to attend on Saturday to the House of Representatives to pass the guarantees law that is already passed and approved by the Council of Ministers, and that any delay which will be considered as an explicit disclaimer of the implementation of its legal obligations to the local and international community and therefore it will bear responsibility for the failure of the initiative and international legitimacy resolutions supporting it.
