The Human Rights situation in Yemen - the past 24 hours: monday, 4 / February / 2012

sit-in protest:

• (Maonah) Association for Human Rights and migration and the Watan Foundation for deepening the national loyalty arranged this day, Saturday, 4 / February / 2012 open sit-in protest in front of the Attorney General's Office and the Press and Publications Attorney Office , to demand the prosecution of the Minister of Information on the background of crossing out the objectives of the revolution and the image of the President in the Thawra newspaper pages, on the Wednesday issue, 1 /February / 2012.

Kidnappings:


11 people were kidnapped by militias belonging to the First Armored Division, led by dissident Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar and the Islah Party (the Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen) (where the kidnapped are Colonel Mohammed Al-Authri and Major Ahmed Haimi and Muhammad Afif and 7 people that were praying at the time,from the Salah Al-din area, led by the Imam of the mosque, Sheikh Abdul Malik Shatby) Sons of the department «12» Sana'a and took them to an unknown place.
