The Association is proud that it was one of the first non-governmental organizations in creating human rights advocacy campaigns on these issues and in partnership with the leadership of the Yemeni community in New York and a number of associations and communities. Indeed, the Association implemented on a voluntary basis with the Yemeni community this issue awareness campaigns, programmes, suggestions and joint activities with practical steps to support business. commercial, achieving community safety, protecting workers in retail stores, and reducing crimes. In addition, the issuance of this law reflects the response of the state government’s leadership to the human rights advocacy campaigns in this issue, and today we feel confident that our proposals have been taken into account at the heart of the declaration of the Lady Governor of New York and will have "A significant impact on protecting the lives of employees and small businesses across New York City and the state."

At the celebration, the head of the Yemeni community in New York, Ali Al-Saidi, and the president of the association, thanked the lady governor of the state for her tangible efforts in achieving public safety in the state, and assured her that they are waiting for her to support the awareness and education projects that they will prepare in the future to implement this law and in partnership with the state government and all those interested in it. In the best way and to achieve the best interests of all.

The association said in the statement: This new law, included in the state budget and through this comprehensive legislative approach, will place more powers in the hands of law enforcement officers, prosecutors, and business owners - targeting every area of vulnerability to protect workers in shops.
