Maonah Association appeals to the President the speed to stop the massacres mass murder of prisoners by the director of security, Taiz and Minister of the Interior "after their arrest for work" and the formation of an impartial commission of inquiry, and all officials accountable for the crimes of murder of prisoners.

Maonah Association in a press statement issued tonight appealed to the: His Excellency the President of the Republic to the speed of intervention to stop the massacres and dragging of the prisoners and detainees within Taiz Central prison, which is made by the director of security, Taiz, "the newly appointed Minister of Interior and quickly set up a neutral commission of inquiry towards the happening of events and confrontations within the central prison and which claimed the lives of two inmates from the prison and one guard of the prison and the number of injured inmates and security personnel in addition to the escape of three inmates of the reform at the disposal of criminal cases, it's arresting, present director of security and hold all officials for the crimes of murder of prisoners without any legal justification as reported by multiple news in the media.

The statement issued by the Association also called on President of the Republic to put an end to these heinous and continuing crimes considered "crimes of state terrorism" against the unarmed prisoners, as approved by the national laws and international legislation and to ensure that the lives of those arrested and not to endanger the lives of inmates at risk at the same time we call inmates to comply with the laws and resorting to legal means to claim their rights.
The statement said that the repetition and the increasing tensions and unrest in Taiz security especially after the appointment of new head of security by the current interior minister is a matter which must reflect and find out its causes and to stand on the fact of what is happening and address the reasons for this.
