Press release for immediate publication: On the re-recall request from the international community to form an international criminal court, and especially of terrorism crimes in Yemen, the Maonah Association for Human Rights and migration condemns and denounces the massacre of genocide committed by the al Qaeda terrorists against security personnel and government forces in the Yemeni province of Lahj.

The Maonah Association for Human Rights and Migration condemned and denounced in a press release issued today, Sunday, 1 / April / 2012 massacre that taken by the terrorist elements belonging to the al-Qaeda on the evening of Saturday 31st / March / 2012, which killed at least twenty-five Yemeni soldiers serving in the checkpoint of the 119 Infantry Brigade stationed in Al-Raha zone, Malah Directorate of Lahjj Governorate " as reported by various media channels.

The statement of the Association expressed its extreme indignation of the negative attitude and of the international community about the terrorism crimes in Yemen, it is also surprised by the negative attitude by the National Reconciliation Government about the terrorist elements movements of Al Qaeda, since al Qaeda has become a threat to the security and stability and the unity of the country, and a threat for regional and international peace and security, and the government must do its part for the protection and stability of all the sons of the Yemeni people(civilian and military).

In the Association statement this evening, Sunday, 1 / April/ 2012, the Association reminded of its former request from the international community to form a special international criminal tribunal for terrorism crimes in Yemen as effective translations of the international partnership in the fight against terrorism, and to make sure that the terrorism elements and those who stand behind do not escape from punishment, it also called all civil society organizations and human rights organizations to stand firm against those criminal acts which are criminalized by all international charters and conventions.
