“Maonah” Association for Human Rights and Migration condemned the non-humanitarian siege practiced by the Yemeni government on the staff of Al-Saleh Mosque who have been trapped inside mosque without water &food since Saturday June 14th, where the units of government military cordoned off the perimeter of the mosque and prevented the entry of food and drink to them, also prevented the entry of worshipers to the mosque.

The association considered this act is a crime not incompatible with the moral values of humanity and religions, particularly that there is no legal justification and is nothing but a flagrant violation of every human rights guaranteed in all international and domestic legislation.
Through the establishment of an investigation of the crime - carried out by the Association- it has become clear that the Yemeni government exercised these violations deliberately which lines up in a series of governmental crimes against the rights of its citizens. As for the worrying humanitarian situation, which has been suffered by trapped people inside the mosque, the Association appeals to international humanitarian organizations to intervene and save the lives of trapped ones by supplying them with food and water.
